One to One Career Development Programmes

Tailored one-to-one counselling is designed to help establish career development priorities and opportunities, either within or outside the current organisation. Our focus is on diagnostic and then ongoing practical support, with the following key modules, which are available singly or in combination. One to one consultation
  • Assessment of competencies/experience profile – review of perceived strengths and development needs, past professional and personal experiences, including preparation of personal success inventory and future career options
  • Psychological assessment – to establish an objective profile of abilities, personality and career potential, making use of validated test instruments and exercises, complete with detailed discussion and confidential report
  • Developing the curriculum vitae – practical assistance in enhancing or creating this fundamental self-marketing document, plus variants to meet particular personal needs and aspirations and correct packaging including covering letters
  • Addressing the job market – advice and guidance on how to address the advertised and unadvertised job market, including the direct approach to prospective employers, networking with personal contacts, and using executive search and selection consultants (plus specialist agencies) who may be relevant to the job search
  • Personal presentation and interview skills – coaching in telephone "selling", getting the best from networking and contact development meetings, interview preparation and presentation, and practical advice on (and rehearsing) different types of selection interview
  • Job search management – project management of the search process, including setting milestones and monitoring developments, on the fundamental principle of supported self-help with regular expert guidance, advice and brainstorming, and celebration of success
